Planting trees on Pine Island in Florida

In December, several members of The Foundation, along with several other local volunteers, took time to plant nearly 300 longleaf pines on Pine Island Preserve at Matlacha Pass on the west coast of Florida.  It was a rewarding experience to physically be outside and plant trees to restore this beautiful land that was acquired in 2009 by Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast.
